Baltica Tea Room & Gift Shop

Goals: From our previous work with North Shore Academy of the Arts, we’ve had the chance to meet a wonderful variety of artist individuals in Milwaukee’s North Shore. One of those great people recently had the vision to open a tea room and gift shop in downtown Port Washington. She chose to work with us to develop her new brand. With the name Baltica Tea Room (representing how Lake Michigan reminds her of the Baltic Sea), we launched into designs that combined the serenity of the view over the lake with that of tea. We settled on the idea of a tea cup with leaves as the imagery for the brand, however, we opted to avoid a traditional green color to represent tea. Instead, we chose a blue and orange (which combined give a green shade). This gave the brand a bit more punch, while still allowing any passing traffic to easily recognize the symbols at her new location.
