About a month ago, we launched the e-commerce web site for BuyRenewed. We’d been working on the new brand and strategy for much of the last year. At our first meeting, BuyRenewed’s owner approached us with an idea to bring knowledge and credibility to refurbished electronics through an e-commerce store. We were invigorated by that initial meeting and with that energy, we ended up working with him to create something much bigger.

I had actually never heard about Charro until a friend suggested it for our New Year’s eve dinner. We had plans to spend New Year’s eve at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee seeing The Hold Steady (and yes… it was awesome).

I actually had my first trip over to Revolution Brewing when I was thinking about moving the company to Chicago. My friend Katie and I were exploring neighborhoods last February and she insisted we try Revolution Brewing as it was new to Logan Square. Immediately, I loved it.

We are still fairly new to Chicago. We’ve only been here for about a month and a half. Lucky enough, our friends and natural knack for exploration have led us to some delicious bites in the area.
Ringo Soft Opening Party
Two weeks ago, Ryan and I had the pleasure of being invited to the Ringo soft opening in St. Louis Park. We attended with Geri Wolf of The Style Laboratory. The concept behind Ringo is unlike anything I have ever heard before. Each month, the restaurant will feature a cuisine from a specific destination across the world. To explore the unique flavors of that destination, they will “devote one-third of [their] menu” to the area. Initially, I thought… are you kidding me!?! Sounds amazing, but over ambitious.
A-cero Modular Homes
In my Google Reader this morning appeared a blog post about A-cero Architecture Studio’s new modular home design. Admittedly, I’ve never heard of A-cero, but I’m so glad that I know of them now. Their studio, started in Madrid, has evolved to include offices worldwide. Although the A-cero web site features so much amazing work, I was completely awe-struck by these modular homes.

A New Home
After our first whirlwind week at our new creative home, I find myself ready for a long bath. I am tired. So tired.
Apart from another new client (woo hoo), I do have two highlight from the past few days. The first of which is my new desk. Who knew an IKEA purchase could hold so much potential.
